Recommended Storage Conditions: Store in cool dry place free from toxic chemicals, odours, vermin and insect infestation.

After harvesting of the psyllium crop in the month of April and May, we are getting Psyllium as in
seeds. The Psyllium seeds are glossy dark brown to black, Light brown to moderate brown, often
with a reddish hull. Psyllium seeds are small and dull-coloured, covered with a thin, white hull,
smooth in texture and possess the arch in the centre.


Psyllium Seeds itself is made up of 40% fatty acid essential to health. Psyllium seeds physical
and chemical properties are as below:

Color: Light Brown to moderate brown

Taste: Bland, Mucilaginous

Odor: Faint, Characteristic

Particle size: Not more than 5.0%

Moisture (Loss or drying): Max 12%

Total Ash: Max 4%

Acid insoluble Ash: Max 1%

Foreign organic matter: Max 0.5%
